KABALE
Kabale police has launched an investigation into the death of an unidentified man, estimated to be between 27 and 30 years old. His lifeless body was discovered early in the morning of 14th April, 2025 in a water trench located at Nyangade Cell, Mwanjari Ward, Southern Division, Kabale Municipality, along Katuna Road.
The grim discovery was reported at approximately 7:00 a.m. on April 14, 2025, by local residents who immediately alerted authorities at Kabale Central Police Station. A team led by District CID officer D/SP Mukama visited and thoroughly processed the scene before retrieving the body and transporting it to Kabale Referral Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Preliminary findings revealed fresh bruises around the victim’s face and neck, raising suspicions about possible foul play. Investigators quickly began inquiries into the matter and deployed a sniffer dog in hopes of gathering clues; however, no significant breakthroughs were achieved.
Efforts to identify the deceased are ongoing, and police have urged anyone missing a loved one to visit the hospital mortuary to assist with identification and ensure a proper burial.
ASP Maate Elly, the Kigezi Regional Police spokesperson, assured the public that inquiries into this unsettling incident remain active and committed. Further updates will be provided as investigations progress.
