Leaders from the Uganda People’s Congress have been asked to put service delivery above self in the areas of their jurisdictions.
“Leaders should execute and deliver on their mandate with their respective capacities as far as mobilization for the party is concerned”, Hon Jimmy Akena says.
The call was made by Hon. Jimmy Akena, the party president through the party Vice President Hon. Fahad Mutenderwa Kinyiri at a meeting with leaders from Bugisu and Sebei regions held at St. Austine hall in Mbale city on Saturday.
The Vice President was flanked by the regional vice chairperson of Bugisu comrade Kasola Mike and his counterpart of Sebei comrade Evelyn Cheptoris.
Others in attendance were the district chairpersons, women and youth leaders of the respective districts that make up Bagisu and Sebei.
During the meeting, leaders appreciated the vice president for convening such a very important meeting anchored on mobilization and recruitment of members in the party.
They further requested for the continuous coordination and promised themselves to be active in their respective areas of jurisdiction.
It should be recalled that this was the third vice president’s regional meeting this year after Bukedi and Busoga.
