The Mbarara Archbishop Lambert Bainomugisha, who is also the university chancellor commended parents for their hard work towards the accomplishment of their children’s academic excellence. He appeals to the graduates to engage themselves in using acquired knowledge and skills to transform individual livelihoods as well as changing the world into a sanctuary of peace for other people to live in.

First forward, the Archbishop urged the administration at USJM to engage learners in job creating programs than job seeking programs. University chaplains have also been tasked to develop guidelines and policies that teach the present and future generations spiritual values.

The guest of honour Rt Hon Thomas Tayebwa the deputy speaker of the parliament of Uganda congratulated parents and graduands upon the great win.

He hailed the great co-operation of the Archbishop Lambert Beinomugisha as the number one partner of the government of uganda in providing education services.

Tayebwa asked private universities to collaborate in order to reduce the expenses on finance. According to Tayebwa, religious universities have natured good respect and honesty which earns them a great advantage of working environment. He advised the management and administration at the University of St. Joseph’s Mbarara to start an endowment fund project to support University activities.
