In a statement released on Friday, NWSC urged residents to store enough water.

The shortage according to the cooperation is to due to a planned power shutdown by the UMEME team, to handle system upgrade works at Ggaba Water Works.

“The works are designed to improve power reliability at Ggaba power station,” read the statement in parts

The affected areas according to the cooperation are areas in the entire Kampala Water Supply Service Area.

“Customers are therefore advised  to store water and use it sparingly as it takes time for the system to stabilize after a total plant shutdown.”
