The Rt.Hon.Prime Minister of Uganda, Robbina Nabbanjaz has revealed that schools across the country are going to reopen in phases as the government designs new plans of combating corona virus in the country.
“The health and education Ministers are developing a comprehensive plan for the reopening of schools in a phased manner” the prime minister told the president.
However, she didn’t reveal the dates when this will happen.
The lockdown is left with a few days to end which is building high expectations amongst students. Chances are high that the reopening might take place after the 42day lockdown.
The information now makes sense. The minister of Education and sports, Hon Janet Museveni remarks during the primary leaving examination (PLE) where she stated that the government is looking forward into getting medical students back to school.
Last year, schools were similarly reopened in phases.
Government is still in dilema on what to do with classes that are stranded in the same class such as senior one and five.
