Police in Rubirizi district are investigating conditions a 45-year-old man was killed in alleged murder by hacking.
The victim,Sipiriano Ensinikweri, was a resident of Nyandongo 1A Village, Katanda Sub-county, Bunyaruguru , Rubirizi district
It is alleged that on Saturday evening, Ensinikweri was found sleeping helpless in the roadside and rushed to Rugazi Health Centre IV for treatment. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Acting Regional Police Public Relations Officer for Greater Bushenyi, SP Tayabwa Apollo said efforts were underway to establish the exact cause of death.
“We are awaiting a post-mortem examination report to confirm what killed the deceased,” said.
Tayebwa condemned the act, and assured the public that the culprits will be apprehended. Police also appealed to residents to volunteer information that could aid ongoing investigations.
