Police in Rubirizi district are investigating a case of alleged murder by hacking of a 45-year-old man.
The deceased, Sipiriano Ensinikweri, was a resident of Nyandongo 1A Village, Katanda Sub-county, Bunyaruguru , Rubirizi district
It is alleged that on Saturday evening, Ensinikweri was found sleeping helpless on the roadside and rushed to Rugazi Health Centre IV for treatment. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Acting Regional Police Public Relations Officer for Greater Bushenyi, SP Tayabwa Apollo said the exact cause of death is still unknown.
“We are awaiting a post-mortem examination report to confirm what killed the deceased,” Tayebwa said.
He condemned the act, and assured the public that the culprits will be apprehended. Police also appealed to residents to volunteer information that could aid ongoing investigations.
