As the Uganda tourism sector still grapples with lack of investment in tourism facilities, a number of individuals have come up to set up state of the art facilities that offer a range of services.
Located on the foothills of the Rwenzori mountains in Kasese District, Rwenzori The Gardens Hotel has resumed services after three years of closure.
The hotel is Located in Muyenga Cell a few meters off the Kasese – Kilembe road and it is a perfect place for a traveller while in Kasese.
In an interview with ParrotsUG, Bwambale Goefred the Hotel manager revealed that the Hotel had closed in 2019 to allow renovation works at the facility.
“At the start of this month (July) we reopened with conference and accommodation facilities, Bar and Restaurant,” Bwambale revealed.
The facility boasts with affordable cottages, Double rooms and a family house with three bedrooms, sitting and dining rooms plus a kitchen all fitted with Air conditioning systems and water heaters.
“We charge Uganda Shillings 70,000 for the cottages,100, 000 shillings for the double rooms, 300,000 Shillings for the family house for Ugandans and 120 dollars for Non-Ugandans for bed and breakfast,” Bwambale explained
Rwenzori The Gardens Hotel is unique in a way that on top of the serenity, the facility also offers fresh fruit juice and herbal Tea harvested from the trees that are within the Hotel compound.
The Hotel also offers agro-tourism at their farm in Karusandara with a coffee Garden, Fish ponds, and fruits.
Manager Bwambale also revealed that the hotel has plans to expand and establish itself as a Top accommodation facility in Kasese and the Rwenzori region at large.
