Lira University registrar Augustine Oyang Atubo has revealed that low financial funding to university projects by the government is a great impediment to the development of the university
“Lira University is receiving very meager funding from the government which is affecting our development,” Atubo said
He made the remarks on Friday while giving updates on the ongoing developments at Lira University.
He said that the university is currently constructing an administration block contracted by BKM Company at Shs.16 billion and accommodation of intern doctors which will cost 1.2 billion shillings.
In his remarks he cited out limited funding from the government something he says has delayed completion of the projects.
Atubo now wants parliament to increase on the budget allocation to the university to support its development.
