As Uganda joins the rest of the world to celebrate the World Teacher’s Day, the Uganda People’s Congress party has called on government to improve the welfare of all teachers in the country

The call was made by the party president, Hon Jimmy Akena while addressing journalists at Uganda House Kampala on Wednesday.

“Government should improve vigorously on the welfare of teachers across the boards which include streamlining of salary structure of both arts and science teachers,” Akena emphasized

He warns that disparities in the salary structure of teachers demoralizes teachers to fully institute their duties.
