Adam Rukundo a fourth year student of law at KIU who was discovered dead in cold blood in his room in Konge Buziga Makindye East division on Easter Monday morning was killed Using an Iron bar a posterm report by Mulago National Referral Hospital indicates.
The postmortem report was released late Monday evening hours after the news of Rukundo’s death had circulated all over social media suggests that he was clobbered with a harmer or “katayimbwa” on the head.
His close friends say that Rukundo was last seen on Saturday and it’s presumed to be the day when he was murdered in cold blood. The motive of the killers is still unknown and his family and friends hope Police will do investigations thereafter.
Most of his classmates at the school of law were heavily devastated by the unbearable news and most of them are still speechless and in utter shock. The are yet to believe this heartbreaking incident even after attending his vigil in Kawempe on Monday night.
” It’s indeed a terrible incident and so absurd,” Hillary Baluku,a finance minister for KIU law Society and a friend to the deceased said.
Rukundo, has been described as a humble, friendly and ever smart student who loved sports and music.
“This boy was very humble, dressing smartly, but wat I can remember very well he used to come to me reminding me how I fought to get office, but sincerely speaking this guy was social, he liked football than other activities,” KIU Guild Union President Moses Ebye said.
” It is very sad, I personally knew him, he has been a good man, a fan of basketball, I’m really shocked about his death,” Fahad Kyazze, teaching assistant in the School of law.
“Adam has been a very Active and Corporative law student . His slogan was ” A good lawyer is one who knows where to find the law.” Daniel Oguti,Class Coordinator year four semester one,KIU school of law.
The vigil was held in Kawempe at his parents home on Monday night and Adam Rukundo’s body will today be taken to his ancestral home in Kamwege District, Western Uganda where he will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
