Today June, 2023 marks the last day of the first phase of late registration for 2023 candidates. This follows an extension of the normal registration period from May 31st to June 7th 2023.

The original registration fees were 34,000/= for PLE candidates, 164,000/= for UCE and 184,000/= for UACE. This was revealed by Jennifer Kalule the UNEB PRO during a press brief today.
The final and late phase of registration starts July 1st -30th and will attract a surcharge of 100% at all the levels. UNEB has urged all heads of centers and parents to try and register any remaining potential candidates and ensure that no learner is left out since there will be no more registration after 31st July.
UNEB has also requested schools to make all the amendments to the registration data without any surcharge in the same period up to 31st July.
“Heads of centers are therefore encouraged to scrutinize the uploaded data and contact UNEB to effect the changes where there is need for amendments’’ said Kalule.
Jennifer Kalule revealed in a press lease that UNEB will avail an SMS option on mobile phones for candidates and parents to confirm the registration status of the learners by the beginning of August by typing Reg,space, index no. and send to 6600. She said at that time the schools will be tasked to display the candidate registers.
Meantime, UNEB has urged all teachers to ensure effective teaching and learning takes place to prepare candidates and avoid temptations to indulge in examination malpractice.
