Today January 29, 2025 in a joyous celebration, the His Grace Emmanuel Obbo A.J., Metropolitan Archbishop of Tororo, made a pastoral visit to St. Charles Lwanga Buwali Catholic Parish in Bududa District. The highlight of the visit was the confirmation of 427 Christians into the Catholic Faith.
The ceremony, which took place at the parish, was attended by the parish priest, Reverend Father Patrick Obol, local government leaders, and hundreds of faithful from the parish and surrounding communities.
In his homily, His Grace Obbo emphasized the importance of faith and the role of confirmation in strengthening one’s commitment to the Catholic Church. He encouraged the newly confirmed Christians to remain steadfast in their faith and to be witnesses of Christ’s love and teachings in their daily lives.
The confirmation ceremony was a moment of great joy and celebration for the parish and the Archdiocese of Tororo. The newly confirmed Christians were presented with certificates and gifts to mark the occasion.
Father Patrick Obol, the parish priest, expressed his gratitude to Archbishop Obbo for visiting the parish and confirming the faithful. He also thanked the parishioners for their hard work and dedication in preparing for the visit.
