As Muslims in Uganda and all over the world celebrate Eid-ul-Adhuha today, Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party president Patrick Oboi Amuriat has appealed to all rich Muslims to help the needy by giving out the little that they have like money ,food and meat to help them go through eid celebrations happy.
Eid Adhubah is where Muslims sacrifices animals like sheep, cow ,goats and camels for Allah but it comes in the period as all Ugandans are facing economic crisis such as the high fuel prices which has lead to increase in prices of almost all commodities in the country.
“On this special occasion of Eid- Ul- Adhuha may we be reminded of the need to help others to shoulder the burdens and worries during this economic crisis caused by the NRM regime,” Amuriat said.
Furthermore, in line with the economic crisis in Uganda Amuriat appealed to Muslims to pick a leaf in the zeal of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) and his son Ishmael to obey their creator, their total submission to his will , which teaches us that there is hope even in the darkest time.
“This should be a lesson to Ugandans, especially the ordinary people who are facing the current economic crisis where household commodities have become a luxury for many, and their life has become one of the constant sacrifices,” Amuriat added.
He assured Ugandans that their sacrifices will not be in vain and will not endure forever as the Forum for Democratic change is not sleeping, working tooth and nail to free Ugandans.
