Jane Baine, the director of Sleek and Slender, has called on Ugandans to prioritize health and wellness as essential components of self-care.
Speaking during a weekly Think Tank organized by Ambrosoli Consultancy Uganda Ltd at Serena Hotel, Baine emphasized the importance of regular exercise and maintaining a balanced diet, which she said are key to preventing diseases.
Quoting a famous saying of Thomas Edison, the great American inventor and visionary, Baine remarked, “The doctor of the future will no longer prescribe medication. He will guide his patients on the care of the human body, their diet, and disease prevention.” She emphasized the importance of proper nutrition, stating that a poor diet can render medicine ineffective, while a balanced diet can eliminate the need for medication altogether.
Baine highlighted that good health is not defined by weight loss alone but by the quality of life one leads.
During the meeting, Deputy Lord Mayor of Kampala Capital City Authority, Her Lordship Doreen Nyanjura, officially joined Ambrosoli Think Tank where she pledged her support and commitment to attending the weekly meetings regularly.
Nyanjura also commended the Ambrosoli Think Tank community for their research and development efforts, which are making a significant impact on people’s lives.
