BUSHENYI
A tragic incident has unfolded in Bushenyi District, where a 50-year-old woman, Kamadara Jenerous, died after allegedly being assaulted by her nephew and two other family members. The suspects, Twijukye Moses, 30, Kyokunda Evaline, 36, and Matungo Rhodas, 41, are said to have attacked Kamadara due to a serious family grudge.
The assault occurred on August 24, 2025, at around 4:00 a.m. in Bugongo village, Kabingo parish, Kyamuhunga sub-county, where Kamadara had gone for an after-party. She was rushed to St. Daniel Komboni Hospital for treatment but succumbed to her injuries on August 26, 2025.
The Bushenyi District Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Kamadara’s death. Two suspects, Matungo Rhodas and Kyokunda Evaline, have been arrested to assist with the investigation, while Twijukye Moses remains at large.
“We appeal to members of the public to always resort to using available authorities to have their grudges resolved rather than taking the law into their own hands,” said SP Tayebwa Apollo, R/Pro Greater Bushenyi.
The police are awaiting the post-mortem examination report from St. Daniel Komboni Hospital mortuary to establish the exact cause of death.
