KAMPALA
The police in Kampala are probing the murder of businessman, Henry Katanga – a leading supplier of logistic to the ministry of defense and veterans affairs and the Updf who was allegedly shot dead at his home.
The incident occured on Thursday (November 2) in the morning at the businessman’s home in Mbuya, Kampala.
Police preliminary reports indicate that the deceased had misunderstandings with his wife, Molly Katanga and moments later, a big bang was heard from their bedroom.
It is further reported that when one of their daughters went to check in the bedroom, she found Katanga lying dead in a pool of blood while their mother laid unconscious on the floor.
Police from Bugolobi lead by the OC station l, ASP Peter Ogwang arrived at the scene of the crime, documented it and recorded statements from family members.
A pistol serial number UG 16222 00061 CZ 99 COMPACT alleged to have been used in the murder was recovered at the scene and take as an exhibit.
The body of the deceased was rushed to City Mortuary Mulago while his wife was rushed to IHK hospital Kampala.
Anonymous sources say that family members who were around when the incident happened were arrested to aid police in investigation.
