Despite the coaching confusion that previously rocked Busiro camp, the top organising committee has finally come to the final descion after confirming Paul Kiwanuka aka ‘Coach Kiwa’ as their head coach ahead of 2020 Masaza tournament competitions.
Swalley Kamya who is in charge of sports in Busiro believes that it’s time for coach Paul Kiwanuka to lift his first ever trophy.
“He has never won any trophy due to laziness of the committees he has worked with previously, but now that he is at Busiro that has the most organised committee and where the committee it’self is hungry for a trophy and perhaps knows what it means to win a trophy, I believe he is going to win his first trophy because everything is in place and we are administratively set” Kamya stated.
For starters, there was a contradiction in Busiro camp between the organising committee and the team Manager where by both parties had agreed on former Vipers FC coach Edward Golola as their headcoach this season.
However, Paul Nsubuga the Busiro team Manager while on a local radio interview he contradicted with the organising committee that Paul Kiwanuka will take over Busiro as a headcoach.
“As a team that is anxious and willing to win, we have to focus on which teacher to bring on board with my committee, we tried by all means to produce the best on the table after convincing Bulemeezi coach Simon Peter Mugerwa but he turned down our proposal, we decided on what to do next, I want to assure the people of Busiro that we are bringing back the common name that is Paul Kiwanuka.” Nsubuga noted.
It should be remembered that Paul Kiwanuka was at Busiro in Masaza tournament competitions of 2017 where he led the team to the fourth position.
“We worked with him in 2017 which means he has all the qualifications, tactics, experience, and he is a good coach who will battle all our opponents.” Nsubuga added.
Meanwhile Paul Kiwanukas’ counterpart Edward Golola was also unveiled as Ssingo head coach.
Masaaza competitions are organised by the kingdom of Buganda and are played annually where the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II graces the opening and closing events at Mandela National stadium Namboole.
