Joseph Muvawala the Katikiro of Busoga has come out to deny allegations of bigamy by His worship William Gabula Nadiope has never been married to anyone under the known forms of marriage and has never sired children with anyone. He called on all the people of Busoga to keep calm as they resolve the matter.
“Royal wedding (between His Majesty and the Inhebantu Her Highness Jovia Mutesi scheduled for the 18th November 2023 at Christ’s Cathedral Bugembe are moving on very well and we thank all the several individuals, Government and corporate entities that have partnered with the Kingdom in this noble and historic cause”said Muvawala.
Our attention has been drawn to a letter from Mugerwa and Partners Advocates dated 8th November 2023 and addressed to the Arch Bishop Church of Uganda, Dr. Steven Kazimba Mugalu, which letter contains both defamatory and false information for which the record needs to be set clear.
The Kingdom has since contacted the Arch Bishop Church of Uganda who has confirmed receipt of the same and notes that although the said letter under paragraph two makes reference to a marriage certificate as attached, none was supplied to the ArchBishop as alleged.
Alison Anne Nadiope, a UK based woman through her lawyers of Mugerwa and Partners Co. Advocates and solicitors claims that she married the Kyabazinga in a civil marriage in December 2016 at Milldam House Bunbaby in Portsmouth, England, under Marriage Certificate AK594729L. She further alleges that she has mothered two children Muyisa Mitchell and Josephine Katali, aged eight (8) and six (6) respectively with the Kyabazinga.
