A Ugandan national with Swedish citizenship is crying foul after he lost 50 million shillings to a Facebook user impersonating Muhoozi Kainerugaba (MK) Movement Mobilizer, Baraam Barugahare Ateenyi .
The victim is John Twinomugisha, based in Sweden. He allegedly transferred the money to the suspects account as a donation to the MK Girl Child Project.
Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson identified the suspect as Andrew Mark Asiimwe claiming to be Barugahare on Facebook.
He allegedly defrauded Twinomugisha in an established fake MK Girl Child project that was mobilizing funds to support the girl child.
He was discovered after the victim got Baraam’s contact and got confirmation that the MK Girl Child Project is a non existing project and fake.
