The family of the slain Bukwo district CAO, Robert Charles Ogwang has received 10m shillings donations pledge from the State House to support in the education of his children.
The pladge has been made by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa in his condolence message to the family.
In his condolence message read to him by the minister of Local Government Raphael Magyezi, Museveni eulogized the late Ogwang as a committed person who worked with transparency and integrity.
The minister has also urged police to hunt down the assailants who gunned down Ogwang and bring them to book to ensure justice for the bereaved
Last week on Saturday (July 9), unknown assailants attacked and killed Ogwang in Bombo before setting off his official car ablaze. He was buried today in Apii, Ayer Sub County, Kole District.
During the burial, Magezi clarified that he went to Bukwo District stating that the accusations against Ogwang were not true because he had stood for the truth and was against recruitment of incompetent people.
The Wonyaci of Lango, Yosam Odur also tasked government to ensure that the people who killed Ogwang are arrested and brought to book.
Kole South MP, Peter Ocen Akalo said some politicians are making the work of CAOs difficult due to their love for money and are threatening them.
On Monday, the police Spokesperson CP Fred Enanga said that they had arrested three suspects including Ogwang’s driver to help police in investigations.
