KAMPALA – Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party has sent heartfelt condolences to the family of former Leader of Opposition in Parliament and veteran journalist, Phillip Wafula Oguto for losing his wife Alice Wafula.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they mourn. May they find strength, comfort, and solace in the loving memories they shared and the support of their loved ones”, FDC eulogized
Alice Wafula, 61, passed on Sunday (June 24) at Three Rivers Cancer Facility, Old Kampala hospital.
According to a close family friend she succumbed to cancer.
FDC added that the deceased presence and contributions to the party will be deeply missed.
According to a burial program released by the family, there will be vigil to celebrate the deceased life on Wednesday, June 28th, 2023, at 5:30pm in Ntinda and thereafter a requim service at St. Luke CoU Ntinda on Thursday, June 29th, 2023, at 10:00am.
The body of the deceased shall be transported to Bugiri District immediately after church service for viewing.
Alice Wafula will be laid to rest at her burial husband’s ancestral home in Sanika Village, Nsono Parish, Nankoma sub-county, Bugiri District on Saturday July 1, 2023 at 10:00am.
