The national chairman of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Hon. Jack Sabiiti has voiced displeasure over senior party members fueling bickerings and squabble in the party.
“I feel sad when senior colleagues in the party break rules and disrespect court orders when they should know better and can be good examples to others, ” said Sabiiti.
He was addressing party members during their national council meeting at Najjanankumbi earlier this day.
He said the FDC party was r fined on ideologies and molded purposes to serve the people and therefore should not be controlled as an individual property.
“FDC is not a property of an individual or group of people. All members have a stake in this party irrespective of their positions,” he said.
The party chairman further warned members lingering disagreements in the party, to make no mistakes and stop doing so with immediate effect.
Despite the bickerings, Sabiiti is optimistic the party will become stronger and energetic again. He appealed to all disarrayed members particularly the founding president, Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye to bury hatchets and return to the party.
“I call upon our friends at Katonga to recast the differences and return to to the fold where they have an opportunity to be heard. If they have a winning argument, we will harmonize and move forward together. We have a cause to fight for. We all make mistakes. If they were wronged, let them forgive. If they were in wrong, we should forgive them,” Sabiiti said.
By press time, the party was still holding a closed door meeting which the media was not allowed to cover.
