The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has called on the Electoral Commission (EC) to publicize the logo submitted by the Katonga group’s People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) claiming that some symbols in the Logo including a key, are similar to their own, which they say is causing confusion among FDC members.
The concerns were raised by John Kikonyogo, the party during a media engagement on Monday.
“In their telephone, they have put there a key, something which is not acceptable,” Kikonyogo stated.
Kikonyogo further alleged that promoters of PFF, during their efforts to collect signatures for party registration, have been misleading FDC members by falsely claiming that FDC is being dissolved and encouraging members to sign their forms.
“PFF is a different entity, and the FDC remains at Najjanankumbi,” he clarified.
FDC tasked the EC to make the correct PFF logo public in the media to prevent further confusion. They also advised FDC members to remain vigilant and not be misled by individuals masquerading as FDC.
