Two senior six candidates in Masaka were yesterday (November 11) caught red-handed using smartphones to cheat exams.
According to UNEB, two female students namely Cecilia Nabahinda and Grace Nakayimba were found with smartphones in examination hall which is against uneb examination rules.
“They were found with smartphones in the examination room during the afternoon paper. One was using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to download an essay while another had summarized notes in the phone,” said Jennifer Kalule Musamba, UNEB Principal Public Relations Officer.
According to UNEB, mobile phones are not permitted in or around examination room as possession of such gadgets abets examination malpractice.
Kalule said that candidates were registered with Masaka Hall, and form part of the 142,009 candidates who started writing their UACE exams on November 11.
