KANUNGU
Four people have been rushed to Bwindi hospital in critical conditions after a vehicle in which they were traveling overturned in Kanungu.
The incident occurred on Monday Morning (January 27), at around 7:50am, in Bikuto village, Southern Ward, Butogota Town Council, Kanungu district.
The van MV. Registration number UAM 271U that was traveling from Bwindi to Butogota veered off the round and overturned numerous times at Munyaga bridge, and plunged into the river.
Four people, all occupants of the vehicle including three foreign tourists (identity undisclosed) and a Ugandan driver sustained severe injuries and we’re rushed to Bwindi hospital for medical treatment.
Eyewitnesses allege that the accident was caused by a failure of the vehicle’s brakes. More details follow….
