A team of Gayaza Old Students, led by their Association President, Christine Kasule Mulimba together with Sylvia Nalumansi Kasozi the deputy treasurer in charge of fund raising, paid a heartwarming visit to the family of sextuplets in Mbarara, just a day after they were discharged from the hospital. The group was deeply moved by her story, which surfaced on social media, and came together to offer support to the family.

The team donated essential baby items, including baby wipes, napkins, dolls, clothes, and a financial contribution of two million five hundred thousand Ugandan shillings. Speaking to our reporter in Mbarara, Kasule expressed empathy for the challenges the family is facing.  “As a mother, I understand the struggles of raising even one child, so having five at once requires tremendous support,” Kasule remarked. She emphasized the importance of assisting the family and pledged the group’s continued prayers for the babies to grow into healthy and successful individuals.

During the visit, Kasule encouraged the parents to embrace their divine calling and nurture their children with love and faith. The group also prayed for the family, offering them a special Gayaza blessing from Numbers 6:24, “The Lord bless you and keep you.”

Betonde Glorious, the mother of the sextuplets, expressed deep gratitude to the Gayaza team for their generosity. She shared that while she sometimes feels overwhelmed by the responsibility, the kindness and support of others give her renewed strength and hope to continue.

“At first, I had fears, but with the unwavering support of my husband, things are slowly falling into place,” she said. Betonde also assured that she is following all medical advice given upon discharge and remains optimistic about her children’s well-being.

However, she acknowledged the financial burden of raising six babies and called upon other well-wishers to lend a helping hand. “I cannot thank you enough. My heartfelt appreciation goes out to the entire Gayaza Old Girls Association, and I pray that the Lord rewards you abundantly,” she concluded.
