Renown City baber, Arnold Ssenkungu popularly known as Arnold Barber was on December 27 pronounced dead after he was stabbed by his baby-Mama following a heated dispute.
The incident happened on December 27, 2023, in the morning at the couples rented room in Mosque Zone, Kabalagala, Kibuli Parish, Makindye Division, Kampala.
During the scuffle, Senkungu, 24, was fatally stabbed by Atwine Shina, 21 leading to his death.
Frank Serunjogi, a neighbor says he was alerted by noise from the couples room and ran to their rescue and discovered fresh blood and locked doors. He alerted other neighbors who forcefully broke into the room and found Ssenkungu bleeding severely.
He was rushed to Kibuli Hospital where he was later pronounced dead succumbing to the injuries.
The suspect, Shina allegedly committed suicide by stabbing and her body was discovered lifeless with a deep neck wound.
Police from Kabalagala visited the scene of the crime examined and recorded statements from some eyewitnesses.
ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson said there was a scene of struggle and fresh blood.
“A new knife with fresh blood and witness statements were pivotal to the investigation,” said Owoyesigyire.
Further reports allege that Shina had confided in a friend about mistreatment prompting her to purchase a new knife possibly indicating premeditation. The couple had been blessed with a 5-months-baby who they have left behind.
The police have described the murder as premeditated stating that they are still investigating the matter.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to City Mortuary pending post-mortem.
