The Ruhinda South political antidote and the NRM stalwart, Asiimwe Herbert Banyanga has asked the government to use the NRM liberation day to recognize efforts by the freedom fighters that caused peace and security in the country.

“Let us use the pride of this liberation day to remember the heroes who fought for freedom, prosperity and security of our country,” says Banyanga.

The NRM liberation day celebrated every janaury 26, is when President Museveni and his NRA bush war ‘revolutionaties’ captured power from what they up to date call tyrannical regimes that had messed up the government on 26th January, 1986.

This year’s Uganda annual celebrations are in Kakumiro district.

In his message to the electorates in Ruhinda South county and Ugandans, Asiimwe Herbert Banyanga, urged citizens to participate in all government programmes aimed at improving household income and individual livelihoods. He also urged parents in Mitooma to priotize education of their children both girls and boys.

A senior city accountant and former accountant at Úganda’s largest telecommunication company – MTN, Asiimwe Herbert has ambitious plans to contest for the Ruhinda South county MP seat in the 2026 elections. He is born to veteran politician also NRM exponent, Alfred Banyanga, the former greater Kabira sub-county LCIII chairperson.

Who is Asiimwe Herbert Banyanga?

Asiimwe Herbert Banyanga holds MBA (Finance and Accounting) of Makerere University Kampala, he also studied and completed (ACCA) Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).

He started his finance and accounting career over eleven years ago as assistant accountant at MTN Uganda and was later on promoted to full accountant in the same organization.

When MTN Uganda sold its masts to American Tower Cooperation, he switched from MTN and joined Eaton Towers, a telecom infrastructure Management company that had acquired WARID and Orange telecom passive infrastructure. He was part of the team that improved and Stabilized WARID telecom Network.

Asiimwe Herbert Banyanga later on, joined Steel and Tube Industries, a steel rolling and Manufacturing company as a financial controller. Due to his excellent execution of tasks and management skills, costing, budget preparation and monitoring, he was promoted and transferred to head Steel and Tube Kenya at Mombasa, a position he held professionally and diligently until he decided to start a Freight Forwarding companies, Transline Logistics Uganda Ltd.

Transline Logistics is one of the most successful freight companies located at Kampala and has been in operation since 2018. He is currently at the helm of Transline Logistics and a senior accountant at Uganda Coffee Development Authority – UCDA
