Tensof thousands mourners have today jam-packed at the final send off of Bishop Emeritus Albert Baharagate at our lady of Lourdes cathedral in Hoima district.
Bishop Emeritus Baharagate’s body was led outside the cathedral at in a procession of the catholic bishops that was led by the Archbishop of Mbarara Archdiocese His Grace Lambert Bainomugisha.
His Grace Lambert later laid the holy pearl and the cross after the procession as one of the Catholic church norms.
The send off has attracted a number of distinguished guests including Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja the prime minister of the republic of Uganda who has represented government among others.
Bishop Robert Muhiirwa the Fort Portal catholic diocese bishop who was the lead preacher asked people to emulate the legacy of bishop Baharagate who lived a meaningful life.

Baharagate has been living with the Christians of Nakulabye parish for the last 20-25 years till his demise.
The late bishop emeritus was ordained a priest on December 7, 1958.
