Uganda’s second pediatric hospital Holy Innocents Children hospital in Mbarara has today pipped Mayanja Memorial hospital into a women’s supper league after defeating in the two hospitals’ friendly football match.
In a match played at Holy Innocents hospital playground at Nyamitanga Hill Mbarara city, Mayanja lost to the hosts 2:1.
Goals for Holy Innocent s Children’s hospital were scored by Kwikiriza Brian and Dr. Andrew Kwikiriza while Godwin scored the only Kintu’s cow goal for embattled Mayanja.
The match was according Innocent Musiime, the captain for Mayanja hospital was aimed at cementing mutual relationship between the two hospitals through social interactions as well as improving physical health of the two staffs.
Speaking at the match, director holy innocents children’s hospital Dr. Stephen Businge thanked both teams for turning up and requested both them to keep the friendship and cooperation as they work towards saving lives of people.
He said such physical activities keeps bodies healthy and fit thus appealing to the general public to give physical exercises a priority in their day to day activities.
