It’s been a fortnight since father of Felix Ekirengabazaana, Western Uganda Journalist, went missing – and his family are still searching for him in vain.

Ambrosio Kibuuka Twinomugisha, 60, a resident of Ryamabengwa cell, Ward, Central Division, in Bushenyi – Ishaka municipality disappeared from her daughter’s home in Bubaare, Kashari Mbarara district where he was being taken care of on December 24.
Speaking to Parrots UG, Kibuuka’s son Journalist Ekirengabazaana said their father was struggling with memory loss after suffering a mental related illness and was receiving treatment at a hospital in Mbarara City. A case of missing person was reported to the police in Mbarara, but all efforts to locate him are so far unsuccessful.
Despite unsuccessful search efforts, the family remains hopeful and aims to raise more awareness about his case. They have issued a fresh appeal for info that could “add a vital piece to the puzzle”.
Ekirengabazaana told Parrots UG that the family still is holding onto hope that their father, Kibuuka could be alive, possibly struggling with expressing and identifying himself to people because of his memory loss health condition.
He ruled out the possibility of a kidnapping, stating that the family has not received any threats or been involved in any known disputes.
“We haven’t received any threats or phone calls demanding a ransom. As a family, we strongly believe he was not abducted,” he said.
Family appeals to anyone with information about their missing Dad to report to a nearby police station or contact them on the numbers on the flyer.
