According to NTV, the blockade affects their coverage of the event.

“Our journalists are being prevented from accessing some parts of the venue, which is affecting our ability to provide live footage from the Martyrs Day celebrations at the Anglican Shrine in Namugongo,” NTV reported.

Despite the challenges, Television management announced that they were working tooth and nail to provide bold and thoughtful coverage of the event.

By press time, no other media house reported denied access to the venue. However, reliable reports indicate that since the Kawempe North saga where the media announced blackout to government events, NTV and NBS Televisions and a few Media outlets have been blacklisted from covering most of the government events and those involving the President.

President Museveni is expected to be the Chief Guest at the Anglican Shrine in Namugongo this afternoon.
