“This training is a clear sign that we are prepared for a peaceful election,” Lt. Magwara stated, commending the Uganda Police Force for their efforts.

He urged residents to embrace peaceful coexistence despite differing political ideologies and to respect the democratic process, noting that while elections produce one winner, all citizens share a responsibility to maintain peace.

Lt. Magwara also reassured the public that security forces are fully equipped to handle any potential violence, with electoral offices under tight protection throughout the election period.

During the ceremony, PC Ayo Samuel and PC Nabuti Julius were honored as the top performers in shooting, while PC Anyu Grace was recognized as the most disciplined officer during the training.

“I urge you to be proactive role models, wear your uniform with pride, and serve with dignity,” he told the officers.

Tumusiime Enid Kitara the Kasese Municipality NRM Vice Chairperson, thanked the Uganda Police for their community engagement, expressing optimism for a peaceful election due to the government’s proactive measures.
