The thirteen time Uganda premier league champions KCCA fc are growing increasingly confident after securing a signature of Italian Stefano Mazengo on a three year contract deal.
Yesterday, the Lugogo-based club officially unveiled Italian midfielder Steven Mazengo during their TV show on Sanyuka.
The defensive midfielder was born to Italian parents in Kenya and has lived both in Uganda and Tanzania.Â
He started his career under the Kampala Kids League program before heading to Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom for further studies.
KCCA FC Head Coach Mike Mutebi last month revealed that over seven players will be let go and these included; Goalkeeper Jamal Maliyamungu, Simon Sserunkuma, Muzamir Mutyaba, Mike Mutyaba, Nicholas Kasozi, Jackson Nunda, Saddam Juma, and Erisa Sekisambu.
Mutebi said such decisions will pave way for a new generation of young and creative players.
The 26 year old joins the earlier new signings such as Charles Lwanga  and midfielder Ashraf Mugume.
