Dr. Godfrey Kamugisha Mwesigwa, a veterinary doctor and Supervisor Animal Production, Directorate of Gender at Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) has been found dead in his car.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson ASP Luke Owoyesigyire has said Dr. Kamugisha allegedly collapsed in his car and died near Akamwesi Complex
“Kanyanya Police station has today 05.06.2022 responded to a sudden death of Dr Kamugisha Godfrey Mwesigwa a Veterinary Doctor working with Kampala Capital City Authority , attached to Kyanja KCCA farm.” Owoyesigyire said
The incident according to Owoyesigyire happened on Sunday at about 1430hrs, opposite Akamwesi Shopping Mall gate.
He noted that when police responded to the incident, the deceased was found seated in his vehicle and his head rested on the steering wheel unresponsive.
The deceased was rushed to Mulago hospital, where a doctor pronounced him dead.
His body was conveyed to city mortuary Mulago by the police team.
Police has started on investigation into the cause of death as findings by the pathologists are yet to be released.
