The Bishop of of Kigezi Diocese the Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna has implored Christians to keep Christmas in the spirit it is meant to be kept.
Bishop Akanjuna conveyed this message while addressing the Journalists during a press conference yesterday at the diocesan offices at Rugarama Hill, in northern division, Kabale municipality.
Bishop Akanjuna said that the Christmas season is a time of spiritual renewal to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Bishop Akanjuna asked Christians to use this Christmas season to cast away the works of darkness and put upon the armor of light, examine their lives and live by repentance,and do away with things that exclude Jesus Christ from their lives.
Bishop Akanjuna also appreciated media practitioners in Kabale district and western Uganda using their platforms to cooperate with the church to disseminate development and spiritual upbringing information. He also commended journalists for always report objectively and professionally which he said that their reporting has helped in advocating against evil acts in the communities and well-being of children and women.
