A 45-year-old Kenyan national identified as Lynet Mujuma on Saturday (June 11) collapsed dead in a Taxi at Mbale stage Old Taxi Park in Kampala at around 1700hrs.
Luke Owoyesigyire, the deputy spokesman for Kampala Metropolitan says the deceased was attempting to escape from her brother who had been taking care of her at a hospital.
“Before her death, the deceased, had been admitted at Mulago Hospital under the care of her cousin, Bernard Wafula.
She decided to escape from hospital, but while she was seated in a taxi registration number UBC 512R, she collapsed and died on the spot.” Owoyesigyire confirmed.
He added that police were called in and the body was taken to the City mortuary for a post mortem.
Owoyesigyire explained that investigations into the cause of death Mujuma’s are ongoing and an intensive report will be releases as soon as possible.
