KAMPALA
Police has dismissed shooting allegations of opposition leader and former presidential candidate, Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.

In a Tuesday evening statement, Uganda Police Force spokesperson, Acp Kituuma Rusoke said Kyagulanyi was injured on the leg during the scuffle to disperse his supporters who had formed a procession paralysing traffic Bulindo, a Kampala suburb. He was returning from a Thanksgiving ceremony by a renowned city lawyer, John Musisi
Police claim he stumbled while getting into his vehicle, while Hon. Kyagulanyi and his team assert that he was shot.

ACP Kituuma Rusoke announced that they are investigating the matter to establish facts surrounding the incident.
Kyagulanyi was rushed to received first aid at Najaeem Medical Centre in Bulindo, and later referred to St. Francis Hospital Nsambya.
Further reports indicate a heavy police deployment at Nsambya hospital where Bobi Wine is admitted.
