EARTH DAY 2026: Our Power, Our Planet

Makerere University and Kampala International University (KIU) have again taken the crown as the best universities in Uganda, according to latest university rankings by webometrics.

Kampala International University has also been now for over four times the leading private institution of higher learning.

According to the webometrics university rankings list in Uganda which Parrots Media has seen, Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) has been ranked in the third position followed by Kyambogo University and then Busitema University in the fourth and fifth places, respectively.

Northern Uganda’s public university, Gulu University is ranked in the sixth place, followed by Uganda Martyrs University (7th position) and MUBS in the eighth place.

Islamic University In Uganda has been placed in ninth position while Mountains of the Moon University which recently got a public university status has been ranked the 10th best University.

In the 11th place is Ndejje University, followed by Uganda Christian University (UCU) and Bishop Stuart University in the 12th and 13th place respectively.
