BUSHENYI
A 42-year-old man on Tuesday (October 28) found dead in a lodge room at Volcano Bar and Lodge in Central Cell, Bushenyi district.
The deceased identified as Kato Edison, a known plumber in the area reportedly checked into the bar and lodge alone on October 27, 2025, but was later found dead the following morning.
Greater Bushenyi Regional Police Spokesperson, SP Tayebwa Apollo, said the deceased was known to be an alcohol addict, likely to have caused his death.
“Our preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased checked in alone and was found dead the next day,” Tayebwa said.
Police officers responded to the scene, managed it in accordance with standard procedures, and conveyed the body to KIU Teaching Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
SP Tayebwa said inquiries into the matter are ongoing, and updates will be provided to the public as investigations progress.
