As the sun set on Valentines Day, Kenneth Asiimwe waited eagerly for his wife Gumoshabe Ingrid to serve him with supper.
But, the waiting turned into a wailing as the wife didn’t serve the meals on time prompting the hungry and angry Asiimwe to lock the wife and their 5-year-old child up before he could disappear with the keys.
The next day, Gumoshabe and her child were rescued from their house in Ganda zone, Wakiso didtrict where locals unlocked them.
Muyimbwa Christopher, the head of security in Ganda village told reports that Asiimwe has been mistreating his wife Gumoshabe and that attempts by the local council authority to reconcile them have fallen in the deaf ears.
Gumoshabe, the victim noted that her husband has severely mistreated her pleading for justice from authorities.
Meanwhile, Muyimbwa advises men to fight against domestic violence and conflicts in homes.
By press time, Asiimwe was still in hiding and a seat h by authorities was ongoing.
