The Mitooma Resident District Commissioner, Francis Kibuuka Bazigatirawo Amooti has called on the district NRM leadership to devise means, galvanize and improve on the implementation of the party manifesto in the year 2023.
“This is a year of critical planning and budgeting for implementation of the NRM Manifesto 2021/2026. Let all government Departments and Agencies, plus partners: do what is required in order to implement properly: the people’s manifesto as declared during the Recent election campaign,” says RDC Kibuuka
Kibuuka sounded this in his new year message to residents in Mitooma District.
According to the RDC’s message which Parrots Media seen, the public has been called on to support and participate in all government programmes disregard of their political affiliations.
“I appeal to everyone to be supportive towards projects and programmes that are being implemented in the area of your reach or stay. Participate in launching, supervising,monitoring, and attend commissioning activities,” he appealed.
He urged that; “No matter whether you are pro or ant government, just be supportive to the projects and programs for you could benefit directly or indirectly.”
Furthermore, RDC Kibuuka appeals to elected leaders to become active in government activities and called for effective communication of such programmes to communities.
The NRM manifesto 2021-2026 is structured along five thematic areas which were carefully selected to result into an all-round socio-economic transformation for both country and citizens. These areas include: creating jobs and wealth, delivering education, health and water, ensuring justice and equity, protecting life and property and achieving economic and political integration.

The implementation of this manifesto has reached to a number of key milestones in job creation and wealth such as establishment of the parish development model (PDM) project, establishment of over 25 industrial parks in all regions of the country some of which have so far been commissioned to create jobs to over 690,000 youth in formal and informal sectors. The manifesto also promised an increase in electric power generation and distribution which has seen the approval of the Electricity End-User Tarrifs by the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) in July 2021 resulting into a cost reduction in all supply categories and increased domestic power use.
Another highlights of the manifesto key milestones include the establishment and commissioning of over 69 of 117 Seed Schools in various sub-counties across the country to improve on the education sector, conclusion on the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) deal, appointment of over 48 high court judges to promote social justice in the country among other social, economic and political achievements.
