It was all joys at the Uganda Permanent Mission to the UN after African Group candidature committee approved the Mission’s First Secretary Mrs Caroline Nalwanga Magambo to be a member on the “Influential” United Nations committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions.
The news as broken by Adonia Ayebare, Permanent Representative of Uganda to the UN, received a worm welcome both in the New York and at home.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Uganda defined the appointment as historical to the country.

ACBQ advises the UN General Assembly on Budgetary and Administrative proposals as Presented from the UN Secretary General.
Mrs Caroline Nalwanga Magambo is a serving counselor at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Uganda to the UN in New York. She is also the First Secretary of the Mission.
According to Ayebare and the MoFA Uganda, Nalwanga is the first Ugandan to serve in the capacity of the Influential member on the UN committee ACBQ.
“This is the first time Uganda is elected to this committee,” tweets Ayebare.
Up on approval, Nalwanga expressed her willingness to serve Uganda and Africa.
“I’m truly honored to represent Uganda and Africa at large.” Nalwanga retweeted in a comment.
