A 25 year old woman who was captured on camera clobbering a juvenile has been identified by police, the institution’s Chief political commissar, AIGP Asan Kasingye has said.
According to Kasingye, the suspect identified as Uwimana Patience, 25, while the victim her biological son, Alvin Ssebandeke , 5yrs.
The incident happened in Bwuuma zone in Kyazanga Town Council Lwengo district.
Kasingye revealed that Uwimana was recently released from Kisoro prison over attempted murder.
Kasingye’s words follows few hours when police PRP CP Fred Enanga issued a statement by the Criminal Investigation Directorate in which he said that police CID task team were tracking the suspect.
Throughout this week, disturbing videos of three young children which violates their rights wash social media with many users suggesting for immediate arrests of the suspects.
Police shown developments about the matter and attempted to fast track perpetrators until today when AIGP Kasingye disclosed Uwimana’s identity.
He said the she is on run but will be tracked and paraded to court of law.
