Kasese Municipality member of parliament, Hon. Ferigo Kambale has handed over to police his two sons who he accuse of marijuana smoking.
According to the legislator, the two biological sons; Brian Kambale, 27 and Rico Kambale dropped out of school to become criminals and resorted to smoking marijuana.
The duo still stay in their father’s house in Kabale Zone, Busega Lubaga Division. The legislator surrendered them to police for disciplinary action.
Police immediately processed their file and was forwarded to court which remanded them to jail for four months.
The duo was arraigned before Mengo court and the court magistrate Adams Byarugaba who charged them with two counts related to possession of illegal drugs.
Prosecution side led by Caroline Mpumwire told court that on 26th April, 2023, the two children were found smoking marijuana and another kept inside their house. They were taken over to Natete police station and charged under cade file number CRB: 374/2023.
The suspects admitted to having committed both offenses and pleaded with court for linient punishment which court denied.
