Kole district roads committee chairperson, also the Kole North MP Dr. Samuel Opio Acuti has stopped the rehabilitation of Alito to Ngetta road over shoddy work.
Opio Acuti said last week he sent a representative to inspect work on this road, and he found the road being leveled with soil instead of marram.

He said Kole district had piled 56 Lorries of marram on the road which needed to be spread but to their dismay, those working on the road were instead compacting it with soil.
Acuti who is in Dubai, said upon his return to the country, he will ensure that those behind the mess are followed up. Kole district engineer Emmanuel Okello confirmed receipt of this report and said a meeting will be convened next week to resolve the same.
