Then opposition Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) has criticized president Museveni over his continued appointing of Military personnel into government.
During the press conference held in Bukoto at the party headquarters, Kasiano Wadri, the party coordinator revealed that the continued appointment of military officers into government is a sign of planed military rule.
Wadri added that the appointment of the first son, General Muhoozi Kaneirugaba to head UPDF shows clear plans of militarization which public and peace loving ugandans should raise up to stop.
He argued that soldiers should remain to keep law and order than involving in country’s leadership.
In addition, Wadri also condemned president Museveni for failing to reduce on size of cabinet in the recent reshuffle which he says is a wastage of taxi taxpayers money and public resources.
On the other hand, the ANT party spokesperson, Gerald Karuhanga says militarization is seen in broad daylight pointing out Generals such as General Muhoozi Kaneirugaba, Gen. David Muhoozi, Gen. Katumba wamala then Gen Mbadi among others all working in government.
