President Museveni has issued a statement threatening to arrest all perpetrators that were involved in last night’s suspected bomb attacks in Komamboga Kawempe Division Kampala.

“We shall defeat this criminality like we have defeated all others in the past.” Gen Museveni said in a statement.

On Saturday evening at around 9PM a suspected a bomb exploded at Digida pork joint in Komamboga a Kampala surbub killing one person on spot and Seven others seriously injured.

President Museveni has since issued a statement on the incident and the step forward.

According to him, the assailants look to be the usual terrorists who want to distablize the peace of Uganda but assures the public that it can never happen when he is still the president of Uganda.

“I have been briefed on the bomb incident in Kwata zone, Komamboga. The Information I have is that 3 people came and left a package in kaveera which later on exploded, killing 1 person and injuring 5 others.  It seems to be a terrorist act but we shall get the perpetrators.” Gen Museveni says

He further asked the public to stay calm noting that security was already working tooth and nail to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“The Police Specialists are on the ground investigating the whole incident. They will give us more information later. They will also give guidelines on vigilance by the Public dealing with these possible terrorists.” Museveni says,  “The public should not fear, we shall defeat this criminality like we have defeated all the other criminality committed by the pigs who don’t respect life,” he urged.

Security has been tightened at Digida pork joint and the place has been labelled a crime scene with no trespasses allowed as security bomb squad continue to examine the Explosions. No arrests have so far been made but police says a search for suspects is ongoing.
