Former Uganda cranes captain Jimmy Kirunda passes on after collapsing dead in Bwaise near Hotel La Grande.
He is remembered for his tramendous football service in the country.
Kirundas’ name was written on the wall of Fame after captaining Uganda cranes the national team for ten good years but moreso in 1978 AFCON finals when Uganda made a great performance losing to Ghana and perhaps when he helped KCC to earn it’s first league title in 1976 against Simba FC.
He played for various clubs including KCC,Express,SC Villa and United Arab Emiratess’ Abdadi Sc,in 1984,he retired from football and joined coaching where he coached three clubs that is Bell FC,Buikwe Red stars FC and Cooperative.
