The health of Kampala City Lord Mayor, Ssalongo Erias Lukwago is not worrying, Parrots UG has learned.
He was yesterday evacuated from Rubaga cathedral church after he collapsed at the Requiem Mass of Kampala Archdiocese Archbishop Dr. Cyprian K Lwanga.
Lukwago who was seated in the area reserved for VIPs, was lifted by two men and evacuated through the door linking to the priest’s residence shortly after collapsing on Monday afternoon.
He was later rushed to Rubaga hospital and diagnosed with low sugar levels whereafter discharged on doctor’s advice to get back home for enough rest.
The public has since held hearts behind the teeth curious about the Omuloodi’s health status.
A close family source has today on Tuesday told Parrots UG that the Lord Mayor’s is steadily improving because of the immediate first aid received from the hospital. The source assured the public that Omuloodi will soon resume his mayoral duties.
Doreen Nyanjura, the Deputy Lord Mayor also on Monday told reports that her Boss’ health is not worrying.
“This Afternoon, while attending the requiem mass of the Late Archbishop of Kampala Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, the Lord Mayor felt some discomfort and requested his aide to drive him to Rubaga Hospital for checkup. Upon diagnosis, it was found that his sugar levels had gone down. He was given first aid to which he responded very well. Consequently he was discharged and advised to go home and rest. I have checked on him and he is doing quite well,” Nyanjura said.

Medical examination found out that his sugar levels had gone down.
Last year, Lukwago was admitted to Nairobi hospital after being diagnosed with acute anaphylaxis, an allergic reaction to some foods, insects, stings and medicine.
This condition causes the immune system to overreact to the allergen by releasing chemicals and causing one to go to shock, experience a drop in blood pressure and blockage in breath.
